I Love Lucy and More

I LOVE LUCY!  You love Lucy!  Who doesn’t love Lucy?  This tour is all about Lucy.  Our tour begins at the National Comedy Center where you can step into the shoes of comedy pros, try your hand at cartooning, comedy writing, and live stand-up.  You will “Eat Like Lucy” in the unique setting of the Tropicana Room, a reproduction of the “I Love Lucy” Tropicana Nightclub in the upper level of the Desilu Studios.  On the guided driving tour of Jamestown, you will see the homes where Lucy was born and grew up, theaters where she performed, places where she attended school, the cemetery where she is buried and more on the tour highlighting all Lucy landmarks.  Do you remember the I Love Lucy episode when Lucy and Ethel where working at Valvo’s Candies?   You can’t do this trip without a visit to Valvo’s Candies.  Nothing goes better with chocolates then wine.  After having your chocolates, we will have a wine tasting at Merritt Winery.  Dinner will be on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institute.  The Zippo lighter and the Case knife will be a “truly enlightening” experience.  Our last stop before lunch at Barrel House Restaurant will be to Kinzua Gorge.  Enjoy views from the Kinzua Sky Walk.  Enjoy natures’ beauty as you walk across the glass-bottomed skywalk which extends 600 feet over and 230 above the bottom of the gorge.
