Fall Foliage Train Ride

Upon arrival at Silver Birches, enjoy coffee and apple streusel cake followed by Entertainment provided by The Amazing Eric Kearns.  The curtain opens and the show begins.  You’re being serenaded by the greatest superstars that have ever graced a stage. But to your amazement, all of these incredible voices and songs are being performed by one man, Eric Kearns.  After Eric’s performance, enjoy a Buffet luncheon including: Coffee Cake, Broccoli Salad, House Baked Bread, Roast Pork Loin, Wild Rice Pilaf, All Beef Meatloaf with Gravy, Yukon Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Salad, Chef’s Roasted Vegetables, and Cinnamon Raisin Rice Pudding.  Following dinner, you will depart for The Stourbridge Line in Honesdale.  Relax and enjoy the scenic drive to Honesdale, PA.  Board the train and ride the rails along the scenic Lackawaxen River, through the historic town of Hawley, and through wooded beauty of the Poconos.  As you travel along the tracks, you’ll learn about America’s first steam locomotive operation, which took place right in Honesdale, and about the D & H Canal and the Gravity Railroad.  You’ll also ride past the generating station powered by the hydroelectric dam and waters of Lake Wallenpaupack!
