Drive past the sandy beaches and rocky coastline, past the George Bush estate at Walker’s Point and many other sites on your narrated driving tour of the coastal villages of Kennebunk & Kennebunkport.  Stroll along the Marginal Way Shoreline walking path and take in spectacular panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy some of the most dramatic natural scenery in the East as you travel through spectacular Crawford Notch on the Conway Scenic Railway. Relax on a scenic ride on Lake Winnipesauke on the M/S Mount Washington. Ride the Rails of the Winnipesauke Railroad Turkey Dinner Train while eating Harts Hot Roast Turkey carved at your table with all the trimmings.  Visit the Whydah Pirate Museum. Saturday, October 7

This morning take the AMTRAK DOWNEASTER to Maine. Meet your LOCAL GUIDE in Maine and take a narrated driving tour of the coastal villages of KENNEBUNK & KENNEBUNKPORT. Drive past the sandy beaches and rocky coastline, past the George Bush estate at Walker's Point and many other sites and have lunch on your own at Dock Square in Kennebunkport.

This afternoon your guide will take you to PERKINS COVE, where you'll find the start of the MARGINAL WAY SHORELINE WALKING PATH with benches to sit and watch the surf, a pretty drawbridge, boutiques and bobbing lobster boats.

A CLASSIC DOWNEAST LOBSTERBAKE DINNER WITH SING-A-LONG ENTERTAINMENT is in store for you tonight! You'll feast on your choice of Maine boiled lobster or barbecued chicken, plus chowder, cultivated mussels, corn on the cob, Maine potatoes and blueberry cake.

Travel to New Hampshire. In the mid-morning arrive at the CONWAY SCENIC RAILWAY for boarding of your train. On the CONWAY SCENIC RAILWAY TRAIN, you'll travel on what was once the Maine Central Railroad's famed Mountain Division line, on tracks that were laid in the 1870s. Enjoy some of the most dramatic natural scenery in the East as you travel through spectacular Crawford Notch - past sheer bluffs, steep ravines, cascading brooks and streams, panoramic mountain vistas, across Frankenstein Trestle and Willey Brook Bridge en-route to Crawford Station.

As you travel through this rugged terrain, you can begin to appreciate what a remarkable engineering achievement constructing this railroad was almost 140 years ago. Live commentary onboard includes history and folklore of the railroad and area, as well as points of interest. This is a one-way train and your driver will be given directions to the pick-up spot. BOX LUNCH is included on the train.

This afternoon you will continue touring through the WHITE MOUNTAINS.

Arrive in time at your hotel for the GONDOLA at the Mountain Club on Loon Resort. Enjoy a GONDOLA RIDE to the summit of Loon Mountain while your bags are delivered to your rooms.

Meet your guide and travel south to Winnipesauke and enjoy a scenic one -way ride on LAKE WINNIPESAUKE (one of the largest lakes enclosed in one state), aboard the 230' M/S MOUNT WASHINGTON. Your journey on the ship brings you to the port of Wolfeboro, the Oldest Summer Resort in America.
LUNCH on your own and shopping in the delightful lakeside resort town of Wolfeboro.

After lunch tour the WRIGHT MUSEUM - a museum about the World War II years with both war exhibits such as aircraft and tanks and exhibits from everyday life.

You will also visit to The OLD COUNTRY STORE in Moultonborough a store since 1781.

In the late afternoon arrive at the MEREDITH STATION of the WINNIPESAUKE RAILROAD TURKEY DINNER TRAIN. Board the WINNIPESAUKEE SCENIC RAILROAD for a two-hour trip along Lake Winnipesauke. Ride the rails while eating HARTS HOT ROAST TURKEY carved at your table with all the trimmings!

Travel to Cape Cod this morning.

Travel to WAREHAM for a CRANBERRY BOG Tour by A.D. Makepeace, the world's largest cranberry grower. Your guide will show you examples of an existing bog, currently in production and will discuss the stages of the cranberry growing process. There are two methods of harvesting and you may even see it happening. Learn from the expert cranberry growers about farming and harvesting this fruit named "craneberry" by the Pilgrims. Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet you at your hotel and will conduct a tour of HYANNIS including the John F. Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church, the summer parish of the Kennedy Family.

Afterward visit the Whydah Pirate Musuem. The Whydah was a fully rigged galley ship that was built by the British. During one of its voyages in 1717, it was captured by the famed pirate Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy. During an infamous storm off the shore for over 250 years. Now you can touch and see the world's only authenticated pirate treasure.

Climb aboard the CAPE COD CENTRAL RAILROAD and feel the thrill as the whistle blows and your fun-filled adventure begins. Enjoy an included BOX LUNCH as you pass beautiful cranberry bogs, natural woodlands, and lush marshes as you make your way from Hyannis to the Cape Cod Canal and by SANDWICH, the oldest town on Cape Cod. Sandwich became the site of one of America's largest glass factories, an industry that flourished during the 19th century. This quaint and quiet seaside community is the hometown of Thornton Burgess, naturalist and author of 170 children's books.

Visit the Cape Cod Canal Visitor's Center. Explore the rich history, fascinating features, and vigilant operation of the Cape Cod Canal. The Center features a retired 41-foot US Army Corps of Engineers patrol boat, a 46-seat theater, canal critters, canal wildflowers, real time radar, camera images and rocking charis on an observation deck.

Admission is included to the Sandwich Glass Museum. Enjoy viewing sparkling exhibits that describe the transformation of a small farming community into one of the world's most respected manufacturers of 19th century glass. Watch molten glass, drawn from the furnace, blown and pressed into exquisite shapes and visit the distinctive mseum shop.
